ÍSTAK undertakes a wide range of projects, involving all kinds of construction. At the beginning of 2012 the company is working on various projects for ISAL and Buðarháls HEP.
Istak has also got contracts abroad. In Norway:
Road tunnel and roads in Alta, road tunnel in Talvik, road tunnel and bridge in Skjåholmen and road tunnel in Målvikhammar.
In Ilulissat in Greenland Istak is building a 22,5 MW Hydro power plant in a turn key project.

In Falmouth, Jamaica construction of 18th century style buildings at a newly constructed wharf.
In Norway road, tunnel and bridge construction between the places Hauge and Lonevåg in the Bergen area. Dredging and breakwater in the harbour of Stamsund town, dredging projects in the harbor of Måløy and Åramsundet channel. A breakwater in Gryllefjørd.
In Greenland Istak completed a elementary school and a playschool in the capital Nuuk.
