Quality Management System
Ístak is working at implementing a quality management system in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard. The system is designed, implemented and operated in such a way that it qualifies for a full ISO 9001 certification, when a final decision is taken to apply for such a certification. The system is already in use and in-house improvements are continuously being made to procedures.

A Project quality plan is made for each contract, considering requirements of the contract agreement as well as Ístak’s basic quality requirements. A project quality plan defines communication channels between client and contractor, as well as document control and document distribution on site.
A project specific quality control plan is also prepared. The project quality control plan gives administrators a much better view of activities that need to be controlled or tested. The quality control plan covers all processes, regardless of whether they are executed by Ístak or one of our subcontractors.

By implementing a quality management system, Ístak is reinforcing its position as one of the most progressive construction companies in Iceland as well as fulfilling ambitious requirements made by the marketplace, not least the international market, of which Ístak is a part.
