Important milestone was reached when the electricity from Sisimiut Hydro Electrical Power Station was transformed to the users in Sisimiut town for the first time Sunday 15th.November 2009.
After the efficiency tests of the generators of the power station 10th. to 12th. November, the Transmission line was energized by 60.000 volt Saturday 14th. November and the final tests on the protection system of the Transformer station in Sisimiut was performed.

Sunday 15th.November at 16:30 local time, the electricity was switched on the distribution net of Sisimiut town. Mutual operation from the Hydropower generators and the Diesel generators in town were tested and after that the mutual operation will continue from both power plants until Monday 16th. After that further tests are scheduled on the governor by delivering the power to the Sisimiut inhabitants.
Reaching this important milestone, the building work, commissioning and testing work period is finished and the operation of the power plant starts six months earlier than scheduled, 15th.June 2010.
There are 30 people now on site finishing the final work and commissioning. The worksite will be totally closed down 26th. November and everyone leaves for home, except the operational people who will operate the power plant and take care of the education and training of the client´s manpower next 12 months.
The Camp and remaining equipment will be transported from the site in June 2010.
